SLEEPING PAD: NeoAir Xlite

This pad has been through it all. I purchased it in 2012 when it first came out as my first expensive piece of gear. I had previously used the RidgeRest and never had a problem, but this pad was a huge step up. I bought the longer pad to accommodate for my height and it still rolls up to the size of one liter bottle and weighs just under a pound. Even though there are some lighter pads on the market, the thickness of this pad allows me to sleep on my side and never feel the cold ground. It has made it through seven hundred miles of cowboy camping in the desert and never got punctured. It has also kept me extremely warm while sleeping above 12,000 ft. Even after the wear and tear of a previous thru hike, this pad will stay inside my pack for yet another long hike.
